Keep on Finishing with Rotoflex

Over 45 years in business has translated into a staggering number of Rotoflex offline finishing machines around the world. And, many earlier models are still finishing labels today.

Why? Simply put, Rotoflex machines were built to last. And over time, new technology was developed to make these machines perform even better.

Rotoflex pioneered the first vertical inspection slitting and rewinding machine in the early 1970’s, and today, the VSI series is easily recognized on production floors. From blank die-cutting, film packaging and other tension-sensitive materials, and conventional and digital labels to the most sophisticated security inspection requirements, Rotoflex has stayed ahead of the times.

Made in Canada

An expansive, 18,000 square ft. facility near Toronto, Canada is now home to Rotoflex headquarters, where full production of inspection, slitting, rewinding and die cutting label finishing equipment transpires. A dedicated showroom for live machine demonstrations resides here too, and you’re invited to schedule a personal tour and demo.

To centralize technical capabilities, an on-site technology center is also part of the Canadian facility, where certified engineers, technicians and parts specialists bring together new product developments and support expertise. Building a solid supplier-converter partnership throughout the life cycle of your equipment is Rotoflex’s priority.

Advance your Rotoflex

If you own an earlier Rotoflex (or Arpeco) model, did you know resources are available to retrofit or rebuild your equipment with the latest technology advancements? Retrofits and rebuilds, led by the aftermarket team, can take place in the technology center which easily accommodates machines, tooling, and workspace resources.

One retrofit advantage is the integration of the proprietary URC 2.0 control system, unique to the entire Rotoflex product line of today. Designed with the operator in mind, the system incorporates simplified menus and an easy-to-use interface, allowing users to monitor all functions of the slitter/rewinder from a single screen. Job set up is quick, and with the robust job save/load capability, job-related details can be stored and easily recalled for repeat runs.

Earlier Rotoflex machines incorporating the Genesis or C3/C35/C5 control systems can be upgraded with the URC 2.0 retrofit package, in addition to other available enhancements such as:

  • Automatic tension control system
  • Shear knife, crush knife, or razor slitting unit
  • Waste wind up
  • Ironing roller
  • Secure counting and missing label detection system
  • Automatic label inspection system using vision systems with optional “print, barcode, braille, 2D-code inspection” OCR, .pdf to print, variable data inspection and extensive reporting modules
  • Cloud-based Report Management System (RMS) tool which allows data and system details from multiple finishing machines to be collected in a single location
